Gateway

Finished product after an extended homework extravaganza; picture taken around 5:00 AM

I know it's been a while but I finally got my hands on the pictures of my final sculpture so I thought I ought to put them up.

Broken down barrels. Also BONUS retro-reflective beads shimmering on the floor!

I acquired 7 traffic barrels to use as raw material for my sculpture in April. I cut up five into rings and stacked them up on top of the other two barrels then riveted them together. They stand at just over 5 and a half feet tall and (mostly) stand on their own.

They also look great coming out of the wall!

I didn't quite realize how big they really were until I had to transport them to UNM in the morning. Both of them hardly fit in the bed of Kris' truck. Getting them past the construction workers on the Lead/Coal project was equally difficult...

Installed for critique

I think they turned out great and critique went well. Unfortunately they are now wasting away in my backyard so if you are interested in them let me know.
